Q. How is the Library 'online'?
Your friendly Library staff are working from home just like you, which means our services have moved online. We have provided online services such as live chat, help and guidance, and online resources (e-books, digital interlibrary loans, and online journals just to name a few) for many years. We have now broadened our online Library to include study skills support and a focus on purchasing new e-books across all subjects where possible.
We have everything in place to support you, with knowledgeable staff and a robust set of digital services and resources.
Help and guidance
Our Customer Services Assistants team are ready and waiting to help you on live chat. We can help you with the same sorts of questions you have when you would visit our library buildings. You can also e-mail us on email@example.com. We are also on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram @uniofsunlib.
All study skills provision has moved to online-only and is being run through our live chat service. Our Study Skills Advisors will be logged on and waiting to chat with you at the date and time agreed in your confirmation e-mail. Please book your study skills 1-1 here - library.sunderland.ac.uk/services-and-support/skills/one-to-one-support
There are lots of resources available online that you can access from home. If there is something you can't access please let us know and we will investigate for you. Our Liaison Librarian team can help find alternatives. See the FAQs below for how to access our resources from home.
