Yes, from July 2026, the way you sign in to Library systems has changed. You will need to use the following as your username:

• If you are a student: userID@student.sunderland.ac.uk
• If you are a member of staff: userID@sunderland.ac.uk

Your password will remain unchanged.

If you are unable to log in, please clear your browser's cache and cookies, then reopen a new window. Alternatively, you can use an incognito or private window.

Transferring personal accounts

If you have personalised settings, such as bookmarks, notes, references, highlights, or saved searches on any of our external provider platforms, you will need to make a record of these, as they will not be automatically transferred. We have written a series of guides to help you find and record this saved information. Use the links below or contact us for support.
