The way you log in to Library resources has changed. You will continue to have access to content included in the Library's subscription, but some providers may not recognise some personal settings or saved content.
Will I still be able to access Taylor & Francis ebooks?
Yes. Your access to Taylor & Francis ebooks is provided through the Library's subscription when you sign in using your University of Sunderland credentials.
Taylor & Francis hosts the following ebook collections:

• Taylor & Francis Early Childhood Education, Inclusion, & Special Education ebooks
• Taylor & Francis Education Research Methods, CPD, & Study Skills ebooks
• Taylor & Francis Nursing & Midwifery ebooks
Will I lose my personalised content, such as saved searches or alerts?
• If you have not downloaded ebooks or made notes before, then no action is required.
• If you have used these collections and used the platform to make notes, highlights, or save ebooks, then you will need to back up this information, as it will not be automatically transferred.
How can I check the notes and highlights I've made?
We are temporarily offering the option to log in via both the 'New Library Authentication Service' and the 'Old Library Authentication Service'.
You should be able to access your saved content by choosing the 'Old Library Authentication Service' option and using your University user ID and password.
If you are not seeing the above options, your browser cookies will have stored the last login method you used. You will need to sign out completely, clear your browser cache and cookies, then close and reopen your browser. You can also use an incognito or private browser window to access the databases using the old authentication service, if you would prefer not to clear cache and cookies.
1. Find an ebook you have used in Library Search, for example:
2. When prompted, sign in using the 'Old Library Authentication Service'.
3. Once on the Taylor & Francis platform, you can see that you are logged in in the top right corner. Click on Read Online.
4. Click on My Library to access all the previous books you have looked at and added notes or highlights:

6. Clicking Book Information will open the ebook, and looking at the menu on the left-hand side will indicate if there are any notes or highlights:
If there are lots of notes on a particular ebook, you can export them into Notepad. Alternatively, if you only have a small number of notes, you could write them down or screenshot them.
What should I do next?
Once you have retrieved any notes or highlights, we recommend you use the 'New Library Authentication Service' moving forward when signing in.
1. Log out of Taylor & Francis and clear your browser cookies and cache.
2. Access an ebook and log in using the 'New Library Authentication Service'. Your username will be userID@student.sunderland.ac.uk (for students) or userID@sunderland.ac.uk (for staff).
3. Recreate your notes and highlights from your backup.

They have been prepared to the best of our knowledge, using the information available to us. You should back up, save, or export any personal content wherever possible, in case it needs to be recreated.
