Printers and scanners are not managed by the Library team. They are provided and maintained by an external company.

Printing 

All our Library spaces feature printers you can use to print out your work. If you are using a fixed desktop PC on campus, log in using your university user ID and password. Open the document, select ‘Print’ and choose ‘Colour’ or ‘Black & White’ from the printer options. 

Note for PDF files: These types of documents may need to be downloaded and saved on the device you are using. Open the file directly with Adobe Reader, and on the initial login screen, use your full student email address followed by your user ID and password. Once you have opened the document, please select ‘Print’ and choose ‘Colour’ or ‘Black & White’ from the printer options. 

Note for Microsoft Office documents: If printing a Word, PowerPoint, or other Microsoft Office document, please ensure you are logged in with your user ID and password before you select ‘Print’ and choose ‘Colour’ or ‘Black & White’ from the printer options. 

At the printer, tap your campus card on the contactless symbol or log in with your user ID and password.  To release your printing, press 'Print Release' and then choose to print all or select individual print jobs. Remember to return to the home screen and press 'Sign Out' once you have finished.

Scanning 

At the printer, tap your campus card on the contactless symbol or log in with your user ID and password. To scan to your University email address, press 'Scan'. Using 'Change settings' to change the colour mode, file type, duplex mode, paper size, and orientation. If you have more than one page to scan, keep 'Prompt for more pages' selected. Press 'Start' when you are ready to scan your document. Remember to return to the home screen and press 'Sign Out' once you have finished. 

Copying 

At the printer, tap your campus card on the contactless symbol or log in with your user ID and password. Open the lid and place your document on the glass. If you have more than one sheet to copy, you can use the document feeder on the top of the lid, placing your documents print side up. To copy, press 'Copy. Use the settings options on screen to choose how you want your copies to look. Press 'Copy' when you are ready. Remember to return to the home screen and press 'Sign Out' once you have finished.
