Answer

If you are not a current student or staff member at the University of Sunderland, you will need to apply for a guest user card to open the Library access gates.

There is a replacement charge of £5 for lost cards. Access for guests is only during staffed opening hours.

Members of Sunderland City Libraries

Please show your Sunderland City Libraries card to a member of staff at our helpdesks. You will be asked to complete and sign a short form. We will then create a small plastic card for you that you can use to open the library access gates.
