Q. How do I search for books?

Go to Library Search and search for a book. You can search by title, keyword, or other search term.

You will then be taken to a results page for the search terms used, for all types of material. To narrow your results to books only, use the filters on the left and select 'Books' under Resource Type, then click apply.

When you find the book you want, click on the title to open up the item record. Under the 'Find It In Library' section, you will find the shelfmark of the item. The books are arranged on our shelves in numerical order, from small to large. You can also view an interactive map by clicking the Locate button.

Want to read a book online?

To narrow your results to ebooks only, use the filters on the left and select 'Books' under Resource Type and select 'Available online' under Availability, then click apply.

When you find the book you want, click on the title to open up the item record. Under the 'View Online' section, you will see links that will take you to the full text.
