Answer

Yes.

You can read some e-books on a mobile phone. Depending on the provider of the eBook you are reading will depend on if you can read it. For the best functionality, we suggest using a laptop or PC where possible.

VLeBooks

Any device that supports Adobe Digital Editions will allow downloads from VLeBooks. This includes PCs, laptops, Macs, Apple devices, most android devices (including Kindle Fire), and most eReaders (but not a Kindle reader). Mobile devices will require at least iOS 5.0 or Android 4.0 to read online, although if you have an older phone, they have a free App that will allow downloading for offline reading with older versions. The VLeBooks App is available free of charge. Once installed on a mobile device, it will enable a downloaded eBook to be read with all the advanced functionality you would expect of a modern eReader App.

Proquest Ebook Central

Ebook Central works on most browsers and on most devices. The following are the devices, operating systems (OS), and browsers we have specifically tested and certified.

Supported Type, Device, OS, and Browser combinations
Type Device OS Browser
Tablet Android Android OS (latest and one previous version) Chrome
Tablet iOS iOS (latest) Safari and Chrome
Tablet Windows Windows OS (latest version) IE
Phone Android Android OS (latest and one previous version) Chrome
Phone iPhone (latest) iOS (latest) Safari and Chrome

To access Ebook Central books on your mobile phone, we recommend downloading the book for offline reading using Adobe Digital Editions on iOS and Android. You can then choose your favourite Adobe DRM-compatible ebook reader app.

If a book is not available for download or you do not want to download it, you can still use the online reader on your mobile phone. When you open the book, the table of contents sidebar is collapsed to allow you to view the book's content on the small screen.
