Answer

You can book a 1-1 meeting with an English language adviser to discuss your needs or ask for advice on which course to take alongside your main programme.

As a general guide, if you have an IELTS score of 6.5 or higher, the Developing courses are likely to be the most appropriate for you. If your score is lower than 6.5, then the Introduction courses will be most appropriate. If you have a higher IELTS score and wish to start with the Introduction level, you will be able to move up to the Developing level in the next block of teaching.

If you decide within the first two weeks of classes that a course is not right for your level of English, you can switch to a different one which may be better suited. Your tutor may also advise you if a different level would be better for you.

If English is your first language we recommend that you sign up for one of our English for Native Speakers Courses
